re: Loot Rules

NOTE - that if any pugs are used to fill a raid, then the normal need / greed for Mainspec and Offspec will apply.

The guild uses EPGP to distribute loot in raids.

No add-on is needed by raiders - although they are welcome to download the following if they wish to view everyone's standings:

How does EPGP work?

EPGP stands for Effort Points/Gear Points.

Effort Points (EP) quantify the effort each member put towards the, hopefully common, guild goals.

Gear Points (GP) quantify what loot each member got back in return. Loot priority (PR) is computed as the quotient of the two:

PR = EP/GP

Getting EP: Raiders receive a fixed "Attendance" award at the start of a raid, and additional awards for each boss kill. These are currently 200 and 50 Effort Points.

Getting GP: If you've received an item, then your GP is increased depending on the value of the item / its slot. A heroic warforged item has a higher GP than a normal item. These values are already set.

When an item drops in a raid, this will be linked in raid chat by the Loot Master. If you wish to receive the item, please type NEED.

The person with the highest PR will then receive the item.

In essence, if you raid often, and you haven't won anything recently, then your PR will gradually increase meaning that next time an item drops, you will have the highest priority.

Loot and Persons on Trial

Trialists earn Effort Points for attending raids as normal and items that they receive generate Gear Points. In addition, to ensure that the PR value is fair, all new joiners receive a 800GP score added to ensure that they do not take an item of loot over someone that has a long history with the guild. In addition - in the event that a raider or above wants an item, the raider will have priority over someone on trial irrespective of the EPGP standings. This is to ensure that we do not give out valuable items to persons who may well be out of the guild for failing trial.

EPGP P
enalties

If you no-show a raid, or do not respond to a calendar invitation (excluding holidays advised on the website etc.), or same-day decline shortly before the raid, then you may receive an EPGP penalty.
